We were delighted to be hosted by Tas for a memorable day trip from Athens in Mercedes comfort, with knowledgeable and friendly banter from a dual Greek-Australian! We were happy to take Tas’s local knowledge and advice to vary our itinerary, visiting Nafplio instead of the Blue Lake, considering the winter weather and short days. Tas imparted his extensive historical and archeological knowledge along the journey, leaving us at strategic points to enter the museums and archeological sites at Ancient Corinth and Mycenae, where we enjoyed our self tours at our own pace. In summary, a relaxing, fascinating and educational day in great comfort and company!
We are a group of 8 people. Two families of four with teenagers. We had a wonderful day visiting Delphi and Thermopylae. Tas, the guide, picked us up on time. He is very friendly and thoughtful. We just had to sit and relax. The van was clean and there were bottles of water and even some cookies for us. The trip takes three hours each way, but it us definitely worthy. Not only the oracle itself but also the landscape is impressive. Lunch was also very good. Tas had also made a reservation at a restaurant. Our table had really nice views.
Our driver, Tas, picked us on time in our hotel. The travel takes 3 hours to arrive, but we stopped when needed and Tas explained us the history of Delphi and what we would see there. We visited on our own the Delphi museum and the archeological site. The ticket it’s not included, bit it was only 6 € for adults (free entry for under 24). Tas proposed a very good restaurant, with fantastic views. And then we visited the Thermopylae. It was already dark, so we couldn’t enjoy it too much. We spent 11 hours. A wonderful day!
We had an incredible tour. Tas was so knowledgeable about the locations we visited and structured the tour to our needs and wants. He is an amazing tour guide and great person to take you around this area. Would highly recommend this tour if you enjoy history, scenic views, and architecture.
We have had two excellent tours with Ancient Greek Tours. Our driver Petro has been more than patient, kind and helpful. Manos and Tas have also been one of a kind people, interested in our needs and desires. I fully reccomend this company. Nice people, good expertise and most of all kindness througout the time I have dealt with them. Thank you for making our staying in Greece unforgettable.
We had only one day to fulfill our desires to experience where Paul was in this Corinth-area of Greece. After a great deal of research, I found the outstanding reviews of Tas/Ancient Greece Tours -- they were are not only accurate but fell short of expressing the very in-depth knowledge (and wisdom) that Tas shares during his tours.
We had an amazing weekend in Athens/Greece! Saturday exploring Athens and Sunday at the Ancient Corinth. Good company , amazing places and fantastic food ... the weather was freezing ( with strong wind) but Tas made us feel safe and at home ! Thank you so much Tas for your insights and good guidance . it was like travelling with a close friend We strongly recommend you guys ! (Rob, Laura and Cris)
Tas is an amazing tour guide and all around great guy. We came to Greece for our honeymoon and we strongly recommend AGT. Overall the tour was fun, professional, detailed and moved at a comfortable pace.We spent 2 days with Tas and covered the Athens sites, Cape Sounio and Corinth. We covered an amazing amount of history. Tas made every effort to give us the history of the ruins and sites as well as provide us with authentic local dining experiences. He went above and beyond to give us an unforgettable experience.
We are 3 couples that wanted to learn more about our country's history and the beautiful side of it. We needed to spend some quality time, having fun and make the most out of our stay back home (We all live in US). We 've read the amazing reviews of Ancient Greece Tours and decided to go for the 6 day classical tour. Tas, our driver was an amazing personality. He is a walking encyclopedia and later on we found out that he studied ancient history and he really loves what he does.
My mother and I had the best two day trip around ancient Corinth and Monemvasia. We both wished that we could have a longer tour. Tas is the most considerate, knowledgeable and jovial guide and we thoroughly enjoyed his company, suggestions and relaxed driving! He knows Greece like the back of his hand so I would recommend fellow travelers to follow his excellent suggestions and let him design the best tours for them.
Got back about a week ago after an Adriatic vacation. The last 4 days were exploring Greece, for which we chose Ancient Greece Tours. Tas was our guide for the entire 4 days. The sites were amazing, but Tas made it all so much better. He made us feel comfortable and safe during the entire trip. We, never having been to Greece before, and not speaking the language, had some concerns, but Tas put them all to rest. He speaks both English and Greek fluently, so communication with locals was never a problem. We would definitely recommend Tas and Ancient Greece Tours for anyone looking for amazing private tours around Greece.
Our Corinth tour is the best part of our holiday in Athens and it was made excellent by the help, kindness, information and the sense of humour of one man Tas, and the car was a bonus, if he had done it with donkey and cart it would have been just as good. We highly recommend this tour with Tas, the only regret we have is we couldn’t do the full day trip due to time constraint.
Highly recommended company and a tour not to be missed. We cannot express our gratitude. Tas was both amazing and professional, went above and beyond to bring out the best of our day. His restaurant recommendation with the spectacular views was enjoyed by all. Home made greek cooking at its best! Will definitely book with ancient greek tours again. Thank you Tas and see you again next year!!!
I went to Meteora and Delphi under protest (to be fair, I hate ruins & all tours) to keep a friend company. The drive was nightmarishly long (for me) and, yet, Tas made it bearable. He is charming, funny, and has a comfortable car stocked with water and snacks. I hated the trip but enjoyed his company. If I had to go anywhere I'd be happy to go with Tas.
At the last minute, having a layover in Athens, we contacted Tas as our driver for the day! What an amazing adventure. From the minute we met, Tas, was the perfect driver and host. He was friendly, accommodating, easy to be around, interesting, fun, and extremely knowledgable about ancient Greek history to current day life in Greece. At the end of the day, we love our time with Tas so much that we booked another adventure for our return back through Athens. Yamas to Tas!
